The year 2020 started for Melvin & Hamilton with exciting events! At the Premium Messe in Berlin, our Heidelberg team presented the trend models for the upcoming autumn and winter season 2020/2021 and delighted both retailers and the press.
The fact that this season will be one of the most exciting in the 30-year history of Melvin & Hamilton could be seen in the strong contrasts of our highlights, such as the extravagant British rock chic with studs and patent leather on the one hand, and elegant quilted look in the style of the 60s on the other. Also multifaceted red tones and our popular animal prints in new variations were able to convince our audience. Lovers of our accessories collection can also look forward to great newcomers: our new dufflebag offers a lot of space and is therefore perfect for travelling. In addition, we introduced the stylish Christy-Bag, which is artfully made of different materials.
But this year we also had a great premiere - we took part at the Neonyt, the international hub for substainability and innovation. For the first time we were able to position ourselves clearly in terms of sustainability. Since the beginning of our history, Melvin & Hamilton has stood for environmentally friendly production that respects as well mankind as nature.
For this reason, one of our top priorities for 2020 will be to provide our customers with comprehensive information and to inspire them to environmentally conscious consumption. In order to present all this news appropriately, the charming and cozy café MarcAnn's in Berlin's Mitte district kindly made its premises available to us, as the French flair fits perfectly with the multicultural background of our brand. Chef-artist David Cofie-Nunoo was responsible for the culinary equipment, who not only provided exquisite delicacies but also a lot of entertainment.
At 5 p.m. the first press guests and our brand ambassadors finally arrived. So we are happy to welcome representatives of the magazines Flair, Sleaze, Elle, Valeur and Vogue, as well as Prosieben stylists and social media stars like Ferkan Sandi, alias mrgentleguy.
In addition to the managing directors, other team members from our Paris and Heidelberg offices were also on hand to present the upcoming collection to the guests, and later to answer any questions. The topic of sustainability was also discussed in detail in exciting conversations. If you would like to find out more about vegetable leather, environmentally friendly production and employee development, you can do so here.
Our customers seem to be particularly taken with the romantic designs, the attention to details and the typical Melvin & Hamilton quality.
We were very happy about the exclusively positive feedback of our guests and we are already looking forward to the next event!
